This picture explains exactly why I had Julia's  friend join us at B's party.

I learned by year 3 that children don't care for homemade cakes!  Actually, they only like Crisco based icing. 

Laser Tag was the biggest hit.  Even Julia is wanting a Laser Tag birthday in a few months.  And Jeff, too.

Yes, I think Jeff has the biggest smile in the laser tag pic. That carmel cake looked amazing! He will love that tradition more and more when as he gets older... have you thought how it might ship to college?

OK I'm jealous... I want some Blue Bell Ice Cream- do you think it will ship to China?! Anyhow, what a fun birthday. CJ & Miriam decided that they want to be Brighton & Julia's friends. "She's pretty. He's cool. He can play baseball? Wow, how much do I need to practice so I can play like him?" Happy Birthday Brighton!

the icing choice truly shows the folly of childhood...what foolishness to choose food dye and crisco over real butter and brown sugar?!?! i mean really!!! can you tell that i am passionate about your carmel (or any other) cake? great pics k...i need that one of jks and ana.
